We only ask for what we need to plan your journey and reply to you. Depending on how you use the site, that can include:

• Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number when you send a safari inquiry.
• Travel details you choose to share, such as travel dates, group size, budget range, preferred parks and any dietary, medical or accessibility notes you include in your message.
• Messages you send us by email, through the inquiry form or over WhatsApp.
• Your language and currency preference, stored in your browser so the site remembers how you like to read it.
• Basic technical information created automatically when any website is visited, such as your browser type, approximate region and the pages you opened.

We do not collect payment card details on this website and we never ask for them by email.

• To reply to your inquiry and prepare a personalized safari proposal.
• To arrange the practical side of a confirmed trip, such as park permits, accommodation and transfers.
• To answer questions about gallery photographs offered for sale.
• To improve the website, our itineraries and the way we explain them.
• To meet Tanzanian legal, tax and tourism licensing obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember two small things: the language you selected and the currency you want prices shown in. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings. Nothing in that storage identifies you personally.

Inquiries submitted through the website are stored in a secured, access controlled database hosted by our cloud provider, protected by row level security rules so only our authorized team can read them. Access to the administration area, where blog posts and gallery photographs are managed, requires a personal login. Email conversations stay in our company mailbox and WhatsApp conversations stay on WhatsApp.

We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to answer you and to fulfil any trip that follows, and afterwards only as long as Tanzanian accounting and tourism rules require. You may ask us to delete an inquiry sooner.

• Our cloud hosting and database provider, which stores the website and inquiry records on our behalf.
• WhatsApp, owned by Meta, when you choose to contact us through the WhatsApp button. Those conversations are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
• Email providers used to send and receive messages between us.
• Trip suppliers such as lodges, camps, domestic airlines and park authorities, who receive only the details required to confirm your booking, for example traveler names, dates and any dietary or medical notes you asked us to pass on.

Some of these providers operate servers outside Tanzania. Sharing is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service you asked for.

Our blog is written and published by our own team through a protected admin area. If we open comments or a review feature in future, anything you post publicly will be visible to other visitors, so please do not include private details there. Photographs in the gallery are our own work or licensed to us, and purchase requests are handled by WhatsApp or email using only the contact details you give us at that moment.

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your inquiry, or stop contacting you. Write to info@safariyandoto.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally inside thirty days. If you contacted us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also hold the rights given by the data protection laws there, and we will honour them.

This site is intended for adults planning travel. We only hold details of children when a parent or guardian gives them to us as part of a family safari booking.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be mentioned to anyone with an active booking.
